Y U NO WORK ON MAC GAH
In this video, I will walk you through the process of downloading and installing texture packs to Minecraft for your Mac computer. When it comes to installing texture packs, Mac users have a far easier way compared to Windows users. We'll just have to extract the texture pack into the same folder we've placed Minecraft. Once we've located the folder, we'll just have to grab the files directly from our texture pack, and place them in our Minecraft folder. Download the desired texture pack. Drag the new folder from your downloads to your desktop (or a designated texture pack folder on your desktop).

- first off, go to finder, and open it. If you already have a window open for something else, right click and click 'open new window'.
- secondly, you need to navigate to library. It has a picture on the folder that looks like a public place such as a bank or whatever.
- when you get into that folder, click on the application support folder to see all of its contents.
- look for the minecraft folder, and click on it.
- in the minecraft folder, there is a texture packs folder called 'texturepacks' where you must put your texture packs. These texture packs must be in a .zip format. If your mac converts all zip files into folders, then you must turn all those files back into a zip file! To do this, highlight all the files in your folder, right click, and click 'compress (#) files'. It will compress these files into a zip file named archive, which you can rename to the name of your texture pack.
- Once you have the texture pack in a zip file, then drag that zip file into the texturepack directory in your minecraft folder. Then, you can select the texture pack in game from the title screen by clicking on it.
If you were having texture pack problems on a Mac, then I hope this helped. :) be sure to check out the blog of the person in the additional credit for giving me the idea to make this tutorial for mac users. I do not use a linux, so I am not exactly sure how to install texture packs on that. If you want me to make a tutorial for those of you who use linux, then by all means, ask.
Note that in minecraft 1.3, the 'open texture pack folder' button is (I believe) going to work on Mac. I will rename this blog to 'How to install texture packs on Mac. [1.2.5-]' by this time.Creditp3nguinz95 for the idea. It comes up in my texture pack folder, but It comes up with a grayscale picture, and when I use the texture pack, it doesn't work.

In the event you haven't gotten it yet (sorry for not getting back to you quicker), here are some possible solutions:
1. You do have minecraft installed I'm assuming? If not, just run it once. The folder should be there at that point.
2. The path is finder (the application, not the directory), library, application support, minecraft, texturepacks. Did you manage to find that? You go to finder, look for the library folder, go to the application support folder, and then look for the minecraft folder.
3. Do you have some strange settings on finder? Is your computer shared and set up so that you can't do certain things on it?
4. If any of these don't work, you can always look on youtube for a tutorial.
Note that the 'open texture pack' button is going to work in the next update in minecraft - this should solve all the problems.tools/tracking596502how-to-install-texture-packs-on-macJoin Planet Minecraft!
